Setup OpenVPN on Windows 10 / 11 with OpenVPN GUI

Download OpenVPN configs

  • Step 1. Go to the user dashboard and select OpenVPN config files in package configuration. Then click Download and save configs archive to the Downloads folder.
  • Step 2. Go to the Downloads folder, right click the downloaded configs archive and select Extract All...
  • Step 3. Click Extract.

How to install OpenVPN GUI app

  • Step 1. Download, save OpenVPN GUI installer to the Downloads folder and double click OpenVPN GUI installer.
  • Step 2. Click Install Now.
  • Step 3. Click Close.

How to import OpenVPN configs

  • Step 1. Move all ovpn files from extracted archive folder to \Program Files\OpenVPN\config folder.

How to connect to OpenVPN

  • Step 1. Launch OpenVPN GUI from the Desktop screen.
  • Step 2. Right click the OpenVPN GUI in the system tray, select the desired connection name and click Connect.NB! We recommend using TCP connection, if it is stable. Otherwise, use UDP.
  • Step 3. You will see the following notification after the VPN connection is established. It is now safe to surf the web!

How to disconnect from OpenVPN

  • Step 1. Right click the OpenVPN GUI in the system tray, select the desired connection name and click Disconnect.
